The Green Cities for Sustainable Europe promotional programme runs for six years 2018-2020/2021-2023 and is funded by the Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA) of the European Commission.

The Green Cities for Sustainable Europe project is a B2B (business to business) promotional campaign targeting professionals playing a crucial role in urban planning, green infrastructure and landscape architecture and is focused on the mass market. The project provides tools and technical training to decision-makers and politicians to spread the message of Green Cities for Sustainable Europe to citizens.

The main activities of the campaign are organizing conferences, seminars and B2B meetings, building and maintaining a website (http://www.thegreencity.eu) and public relations activities. The main goal of the campaign Green Cities for Sustainable Europe is to raise public awareness of the many benefits of using living plants in cities, both for citizens and for the environment.

The lead organization of the project is the European Nurserystock Association (ENA) with 13 partner organizations from 13 different European countries, where APADR is a member.
